Home Study Zone launch initiative to get learners back on track following the effects of Covid-19

Edgbaston, Birmingham Apr 16, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Home Study Zone is a Distance Learning College based in the South West and they strive to ensure students have an enjoyable experience whilst learning their chosen subject.

With University applications looming, students are now turning their attentions to Functional Skills, realising these subjects will be necessary to gain entry to Uni. Whilst everyone concentrates on A-Levels, the basics of English and Maths are usually forgotten.

With the disruption, that cancellation of exams has caused for the 2021 series, many students are finding it difficult to gain their basic Functional Skills qualification. Recognising this, Home Study Zone has launched an initiative to ensure that more learners are able to gain this valuable qualification in time for University intake. More students than ever have been able to secure places on basic Maths and English courses following a recent recruitment drive to make available an increased number of Tutors trained in this field.

Although it is relatively quick to gain a Functional Skills qualification, if you undertake this privately, it still should not be left until the last minute and ideally, learners should allow at least 3 months to complete their studies. There is normally a choice of completing examinations online or by written paper and if students have a preference, they should state this when booking exams.
